The development of online geographic information systems is useful for the making of webs, where interactive maps are combined with texts, photographs and other multimedia supports (audio and videos). This kind of tool is known as story-maps, due to the character visual, intuitive and cartographic. Archeology is one of the disciplines with more opportunities for the use of story-maps, given that any material remains are accurately documented and located in the geographical space. Hence, its application to the interpretation of archaeological sites presents many advantages and opportunities in the field of dissemination and education. A specific case is presented: the story-map developed for the archaeological site of “La Custodia” (http://arcg.is/0frOXW), in Viana (Navarra). This Project has been carried out within the framework of the UNED-Pamplona research program and sponsored by “La Caixa” and “Caja Navarra” foundations.
