The 3rd World Farmers video game has been used as part of a combined didactic proposal to help explain the economic phenomena of underdevelopment and the limitations of traditional agrarian societies. Few texts, the game itself and the class debate will be used as the fundamental methodology in achieving this objective. The target audience will be the university students of the subject of Economic History of degrees in History, Economics, Finance or Business Administration and Management. The main strengths point to innovation, student involvement and the generation of reflection and understanding of concepts.
