Resumen

LA TEOLOGIA DE G.K. CHESTERTON SEGÚN AUTORES RECIENTES Periodista y escritor inglés de renombre mundial, Gilbert Keith Chesterton fue un importante defensor del cristianismo y de la fe católica en el siglo XX, permaneciendo hoy como un autor de gran relevancia en el pensamiento cristiano. Últimamente ha sido objeto de estudio en el ámbito de la teología por varios autores, demostrando así el interés de los escritos del autor por esta ciencia. Esta tesis tiene como principal objetivo, por tanto, identificar el estado actual de los estudios de los escritos de Chesterton en el ámbito de la teología. Para ello, la obra se divide en tres partes, en las que, en la primera, se considera el contexto histórico y la vida del autor en cuestión, identificando ya en esta parte algunos temas de interés y actualidad de la teología. En la segunda y principal parte, se realiza un estudio sobre la literatura teológica que ya existe sobre los escritos del autor. Se identifican varias líneas interesantes como la existencia de una teología del arte, la relación entre fe y razón, entre otros temas importantes. En la tercera y última parte se hace un breve análisis de algunas de sus principales obras literarias, centrando la atención en lo que el auctor dice sobre la presencia del misterio. Considerando la tesis en su totalidad, es posible así hacer un juicio teológico de conjunto y establecer el estado del arte del tema. CHESTERTON ACCORDING TO RECENT AUTHORS A world-renowned English journalist and writer, Gilbert Keith Chesterton was a leading defender of Christianity and the Catholic faith in the 20th century, remaining today an author of great relevance in Christian thought. Lately it has been the object of study in the field of theology by several authors, thus demonstrating the interest of the author's writings for this science. This thesis has as its main objective, therefore, to identify the current state of studies of Chesterton's writings in the field of theology. To do this, the work is divided into three parts, in which, in the first, the historical context and the life of the author in question are considered, already identifying in this part some topics of interest and actuality in theology. In the second and main part, a study is carried out on the theological literature that already exists on the writings of the author. Several interesting lines are identified, such as the existence of a theology of art, the relationship between faith and reason, among other important issues. In the third and last part, a brief analysis of some of his main literary works is made, focusing attention on the what the author says about the presence of the mystery. Thus, considering the thesis as a whole, it is possible to make an overall theological judgment and establish the state of the art of the subject. Key-words: Chesterton, theology, mystery
