Abstract

One of the methods most used to encourage the development of practical and reflective skills is cooperative work or group. However, whether working individually or with others, learning becomes relevant to the extent that it favors skills of autonomy and self-regulation. At the same time, these require a continuous assessment system as an essential element of the process of teaching and learning. This study presents the results obtained through a questionnaire to the effect that contains the evaluation of the University students of 1º enrolled in educational research subject in grades of primary education, early childhood education and pedagogy. It also analyzes the relationship between group work and variables as the size of the group, type of lyceum, the academic performance and the degree of group cohesion. We show the positive valuation of students on group work and its contribution to the development and acquisition of the skills of the subject, highlighting the development of self-regulatory capacity.
