Abstract

Throughout the historiography of art, the sculptural retrotabulum has been considered the work of sacred art par excellence, as if it were our own Bible Pauperum sculpted, as a means of prayer, and essentially as a liturgical piece. Taking as a scenario the city of Pamplona, this work aims to establish a dialogue between the sacred space of medieval and modern times with the sculptural altarpiece of the twentieth century, in order to analyze its integration with the rest of the arts.
