Resum
Air conditioning was an obvious boost to Spanish architecture accross the Twentieth Century as various studies have already shown. But these advances focused on complex buildings such as auditoriums, cinemas or hospitals that represent the technological vanguard of their time. But also the thousands of residential buildings that were built in Spain after the Civil War, they also had to incorporate quality parameters to improve the well-being of their occupants, received a barely palpable technological load, but of an evident cumulative effect that can only be understood from the present. To explain this evolution, chronological exposition will be explained including built-up cases and projects that allow to string together a coherent account of the development of domestic spaces from the perspective of building services and energy systems, and the transformation that they caused throughout the Twentieth Century in Spain.
