Abstract

Accused of maintaining a homogeneous programme structure, Spanish radio faces the challenge of renewing its contents in order to conquer new audiences with a new way of telling. This new way of telling will not only support itself on thematic diversification, but in the use of new and more varied presentation structures, which we usually refer to as radiophonic genres. The present study, therefore, arises from the idea of sketching an actualised view of the most used informative genres used in Spanish radio, specifically in the informative radio prime time included between 6 and 10 am. For this, the technique of content analysis has been used.
