Resum
Hyperpotassemia is a common hydroelectrolytic disturbance in hospitalized patients. We report herein the case of an asymptomatic oncological patient with no electrocardiographic alterations who suffered cardiac arrest. We review the diagnosis of this life-threatening complication and therapeutic approaches. Blood potassium levels should be measured frequently, even if patients are asymptomatic or show no electrocardiographic disorders.
