Abstract
In our current knowledge society and within the framework of the European Higher Education Area, the focus on competences has brought about a number of changes in the teaching-learning process, particularly in methodology, a key element in the new teacher training models. Given this context, teacher training needs to be improved to enable them to integrate the teaching of competences and to develop an adequate methodology. Common reflection and coordination between teachers are essential elements for methodological coordination. The present work is a description of an education innovation project for the teaching of the basic competences from some specific didactics in the Primary Education Grade. The aim was to assess the education students’ general knowledge about transversal competences and the interactive whiteboard. A questionnaire for each participant was used. The results obtained suggest that the education innovation project helped education students to achieve a deeper understanding of both the interactive whiteboard and transversal competences.
