Abstract

For Foucault, power is a producer of reality, has a positive meaning and is articulated in different techniques that are typical of the disciplines and the biopower. As every power is physical, the place where the power acts is the body, which is a fiction that it is produced in the crossing of the disciplinal power and the biopower. This crossing has produced ill people, crazy people and prisoners. This paper concludes that the model of Foucault is obsolete and cannot explain the new biopolitical techniques of the governmentality typical of the Smart Cities, whose essential feature is the process of loss of the body in what is governed.
