Abstract

In the first decade of the 17th Century, several Comedias by Tirso de Molina on religious themes, such as “La ninfa del cielo”, “La dama del Olivar”, and “El Burlador de Sevilla, have in common that the protagonists show a life of seducing and deceiving women. The audience recognizes in them a series of very familiar sins and offences, identified by the civil and religious laws, thus transformed into warnings to seducers..
