Resumo

The opinion of five strabismus experts is requested in regards to the case of a 36-year-old man with diplopia after severe head and facial trauma in traffic accident. The experts are informed of all the data concerning the examination and are asked the following questions: 1. Summarized description and diagnosis of de case. 2. Would you perform or would you request any other test to assess its possible treatment? 3. Would you perform surgery? If so, what surgical procedure? 4. In the case of not perfoming surgery, or in the case that diplopia persists after the new surgery, would you consider any other type of treatment to try to eliminate or improve the symtoms? All the panelists´ comments are presented and a final summary is given.
