Resumen

In Mexican Viceroyalty's architecture, a method of design using new compositional formulas and articulation of different elements flourished. Within a collection of imported repertoires from different sources, fabrics and embroideries would offer a wide catalog of interchangeable forms with architecture. The study of some buildings, as well as some Native Mexican precedents, illustrate this inclination toward the textile models and demonstrate great creativity in their use.
