Resum

A 78-year-old woman with mechanical aortic and mitral prostheses presents a mitral prosthetic dysfunction in the context of a transient ischemic attack. This dysfunction consisted of a block in the opening of one of its leaflets due to the presence of intra-prosthetic thrombus. The definitive diagnosis was revealed by surgical intervention after an exhaustive study. We present the different imaging techniques that were used, for the etiological study, prior to the surgery. They include transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, cine-fluoroscopic evaluation and cardiac-CT.
