Resumen
Los Alcornocales Natural Park due to its environmental features is one of the hot spots of fungal biodiversity in the Iberian Peninsula. There are approximately 800 taxa of macrofungi cataloged to date. However, there are still many taxa not registered and some ecosystems have been poorly studied, as the cloud forests. These vegetal formations are relegated in the park to the mountains near the Strait of Gibraltar, characterized by the high humidity that provide the mists. This is the home of numerous plant species typical of the laurel forests that during the Tertiary occupied southern Europe, such as pontic rhododendron (Rhododendron ponticum), sweet bay (Laurus nobilis), European holly (Ilex aquifolium) and ferns (Culcita macrocarpa, Vandenboschia speciosa). In this paper we present the results of the samplings we have done in this ecosystem between 2011 and 2014. A number of fungal species not mentioned above for this protected area have been registered, highlighting Marasmius hudsonii, taxon protected by law in Andalusia.
