Résumé

Intentionality is the fundamental feature of human consciousness. Though taken for granted in antiquity, it was widely discussed in medieval scholasticism, but especially in the twentieth century, it was explored anew by phenomenology, with a deeper and wider look at its affective, practical and intersubjective dimensions.
