Abstract
A series of 161 cases of shoulder impingement syndrome treated surgically by means of open acromioplasty is presented. The results of this treatment are good generally. There are analyzed the diverse clinical factors that have influenced in the quality of the results. The authors observe that the age and the sex of the patients can be seen related to the result of the treatment. Also, preoperative pain and mobility of the shoulder can influence the above mentioned results.
