Resumen

This paper aims to establish a spatiotemporal connection and an intercultural and artistic dialogue, through a comparative analysis, focused on two natural and artistic heritage of great beauty and relevance around the Spanish and Italian religious architecture of the Middle Ages. This research analyzes the church of Santa María de Vilamós (Valle de Aran) and the Pieve di San Giorgio a Brancoli (Lucca), two examples of pure Alpine expression, whose geographical configuration has allowed them to await artistic and architectural riches of incalculable value with physiognomies native and singular, exalted and reflected in the Romanesque churches that make up the architectural heritage of the Valle de Arán and Lucca, respectively.
