Abstract
This study provides a brief summary of some of the main respects in which Aristotle is present in the contemporary philosophical debate, both in the sphere of theoretical philosophy, with particular attention to ontology, and in that of practical philosophy, with particular attention to action theory and practical rationality theory. The exercise reveals the extent to which Aristotle remains a crucial touchstone in many current discussions of some central problems of philosophy, notwithstanding differences between schools that are, on occasion, thought to be irreconcilably opposed.
