Resum

The authors report an anathomieal study on the upper end of 30 human tibias of unknown age and sex from the Anathomie Department of the Alcalá de Henares University (Madrid). 22 parametres were taken from the articular surface. The relationship among different parametres is established. The parametres considered as the most ímportant ones are: the maximum transversal diametre and the antero-posterior diametre. The statistics show how useful it is to design the tibial component of a knee prothesis.
