Abstract

The exhibition of books from heritage collections requires conditions that minimize therisks derived from their handling and display. One of the requirements is the use ofcradles to accommodate the book to ensure that the structure of the bookbinding doesnot suffer alterations. These supports are usually made in the shape of a V, toaccommodate the volumes and facilitate reading, but if other parts of the book are tobe shown, the design of these supports differs considerably.
