Resumen

La asamblea del CMI celebrada en Karlsruhe en septiembre de 2022 partía de algunos temas urgentes —como la guerra y la crisis climática—, pero también abordó una serie de cuestiones teológicas de fondo, como son el discernimiento moral y el modelo eclesiológico. Las conversaciones y los textos allí emanados constituyen una buena radiografía de la situación ecuménica actual, en la que el consenso en los temas doctrinales constituye una garantía para la comunión en la fe. En ellos se detecta la pervivencia de las dos almas fundacionales del CMI, Work and Life y Faith and Order. De manera que, tras los oportunos debates y discusiones, también sobre temas sociales y ambientales, se ha llegado a la conclusión de la necesidad de un diálogo teológico en torno a los debatidos asuntos de la creación, la paz y la ética, así como la eclesiología y la hermenéutica bíblica.
