Miguel Brugarolas is an Associate Professor of Theology and the Associate-Dean for Faculty and Research at the School of Theology, University of Navarra. He earned a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology in 2011 and a M.A. in Philosophy in 2008, both from the University of Navarra. His doctoral thesis, supervised by Professor Lucas Francisco Mateo-Seco, focused on Gregory of Nyssa’s contribution to the development of the Theology of the Holy Spirit. He is a member of the research group LOGOS: Patristic and Medieval Hermeneutics, and his primary research interests lie in Trinitarian Theology and Christology from a historical-theological perspective. Brugarolas has undertaken research stays at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA) as a Guest Associate Professor at the Medieval Institute, and at the University of Oxford as an Academic Visitor at the Faculty of Theology and Religion. He is also a member of the Association Internationale d'Études Patristiques (AIEP-IAPS), the Spanish Mariological Society (SME), and the Pontifical International Marian Academy (PAMI). Since 2008, he has been a priest for the Archdiocese of Valencia, combining his academic work with his priestly ministry.
