Javier Sánchez-Cañizares is a researcher in the “Mind-Brain” Group at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) and a member of the “Science, Reason and Faith” (CRYF) Group at the University of Navarra. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1999) and a Ph.D. in Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome (2006). Since 2005, he has been teaching at the University of Navarra. As of 2022, he has been accredited as a full professor. His primary interests revolve around the intersection of science and religion, the philosophy of nature, and the significance of Quantum Mechanics in understanding human uniqueness in the universe. He is a member of the Society of Catholic Scientists and a fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion. In 2018, he received the Expanded Reason Award in the research category for his work titled “Universo Singular.”
