The specific line of work focuses on the connection between spirituality and theology, which has led to the study of ordinary Christian life (marriage, work, social life) through the lens of the Christian mystery (Jesus Christ, God the Father, the Church, and history), drawing on the common contributions of saints and theologians. Specializing in contemporary spirituality, the focus has been on the figure of St. Josemaría Escrivá (1902-1975) and the message of the universal call to holiness centered around the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), with its implications for the spirituality of lay faithful and priests. These themes have been the focus of teaching assignments, seminars, and doctoral theses under their guidance (contemplation, spiritual direction, spirituality of work and marriage in the 20th century, spirituality and prayer in Newman, prayer and charity in Mother Teresa, spiritual worship according to Ratzinger and St. Josemaría). Participation and organization of international conferences on these topics have taken place at the University of Navarra, the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), and Nicolaus Copernicus University (Toruń, Poland). Additionally, lectures and collaborations with priestly seminars and associations have been carried out in Mexico City, Chihuahua (Mexico), Chiclayo and Lima (Peru), and Ibarra and Quito (Ecuador).
