Doctor by the Universidad de Navarra with the thesis La experiencia de "querer morir" en pacientes con enfermedad avanzada Estudio de prevalencia y de factores asociados en una población española 2019. Supervised by Dr. Carlos Centeno-Cortés, Dr. María Arantzamendi Solabarrieta.

Graduated in Nursing from the University of the Basque Country. Master's in Neuroscience from the University of the Basque Country and Master's in Palliative Care in Nursing from the University of Navarra. PhD in Applied Medicine and Biomedicine from the University of Navarra. She has worked in clinical care in various geriatric centers and in a unit for patients with Brain Injury. Since 2014, she has been involved in teaching at the undergraduate level in areas such as dermatology, medical-surgical nursing, palliative care, and suffering in patients with advanced disease in Nursing faculties. She has also taught classes on the subcutaneous route and the experience of wanting to die in patients with advanced disease at the Faculty of Medicine. A researcher at the ATLANTES Global Observatory of Palliative Care since 2017, she has focused her research on intangible aspects such as the experience of wish to die, suffering, and demoralization in patients with advanced disease, as well as research on palliative sedation. She is the author of 16 works, 15 of which have been published in international journals indexed in JCR, with publications in the first and second quartile (12 in Q1, with 5 as the first author and 2 as the corresponding author, and 3 in Q2, with 1 as the first author). Additionally, she has contributed to 3 book chapters. She has been an invited speaker on 3 occasions at national and international conferences. She has participated in five projects funded by national and European competitive grants, including two European projects (1 Horizon and 1 H2020) and three projects funded by the Health Research Fund, one of which as the principal investigator, securing funding from said fund. For the past 7 years, she has been part of the 'Palliative Medicine or ATLANTES' research group in the Onco-Hematology Area of the Navarra Institute for Health Research (IdiSNA). She has carried out predoctoral and postdoctoral stays, having received predoctoral grants from the Government of Navarra and the José Castillejo grant for mobility stays abroad.
