Doctor by the Universidad de Navarra with the thesis La trayectoria política e intelectual de Salvador de Madariaga 2020. Supervised by Dr. Pablo Pérez López.
I am an early career historian whose academic trajectory has been characterized by internationalization, interdisciplinarity, and a good record of publications. Having obtained a bachelor in history at the University of Navarra, I began my Ph.D. in the same university in 2016 with a thesis on the "The political and intellectual career of Salvador de Madariaga". After receiving my Ph.D. in September 2020 (Excellent Cum Laude, International Mention), I started a postdoctoral research at the International University of La Rioja (April 2021-August 2023). I currently work as Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the University of Navarra, teaching Philosophy, Politics and Economics, International Relations and Journalism. During my Ph.D. I was awarded with two competitive scholarships to research abroad. I did a six months stay in the University of Notre Dame (June-December 2018), and a second stay in the University of Geneva (December 2019-March 2020). I have focused my work on the history of liberalism through the 20th Century, and its relationship with intellectuals and politicians in Europe. In order to do so, I have explored three related areas with an interdisciplinary perspective: the role of intellectuals in the formation of modern ideologies; the formation of Europeanism during Francoism; and the early stages of Transition to democracy in Spain. My latest publication: Salvador de Madariaga. El hombre que entró por la ventana, Marcial Pons (2023)
