Résumé

The knowledge society requires the students to develop a high capacity to learn to learn and, therefore a teaching model which is more centred on the learning process (learning-centered-teaching). In this paper we try to explain how this paradigm requires the teacher to act as a guide in the learning process and take up the role of ¿expert-learner¿ in the classroom. For this to happen, professional development training needs to be adapted to present learning principles as, in this way, the teachers will be more capable of carrying out this change of role.
