Abstract
The study of the expectations is experiencing a change during the last years. The new theoretical frame is strongly influenced by the investigations made in the businesses framework, and has caused a greater interest in the expectations of the university students as a variable to consider in the improvement of the university quality and of the students' satisfaction. The increase of the studies destined to know what the students expect and what they desire of the university, causes the need to analyze the different lines of research developed and the most significant findings; for, from here, extract the conclusions that help develop and advance in the study of the university students' expectations. The objective of this work is to make this analysis and contribute conclusions that help establish new lines of investigations in this subject of study
