Abstract

The LIFE + RESPIRA project has been developed by a group of 35 researchers belonging to four different institutions (University of Navarra, Environmental Management of Navarra, Department of the Environment of the Environmental and Technological Energy Research Center (CIEMAT) and Sociotechnical Research Center (CISOT)) and a company specialized in photocatalytic pavements (Pavimentos de Tudela), agglutinated around the exposure of cyclists and pedestrians to urban air pollutants. The results of the project allow demonstrating that the use of alternative means of transport reduces the emission of greenhouse gases and other pollutants harmful to health, in addition to improving the physical condition of users
