Résumé
The purpose of this article is to provide some philosophical and sociological keys to better understand the peculiar relationship between world, fashion and modernity. In particular, it aims at shedding light on why fashionable behaviors constitute a symbolic expression of our being in the world, and why such behaviors acquire special relevance in our time.
