Zusammenfassung

El síndrome de dolor regional complejo (SDRC) es una enfermedad de difícil diagnóstico inicial, que se caracteriza por un dolor crónico y desproporcionado respecto al agente inicial. No existe un test diagnóstico de confirmación, pero sí unos criterios clínicos (Criterios de Budapest), bien establecidos. Distinguimos SDRC tipo I en la que no existe lesión nerviosa periférica, SDRC tipo II en la que existe lesión nerviosa periférica y SDRC tipo III en la que no cumple todos los criterios, pero no se explica por otra patología. Se desconoce cómo interactúan entre sí los diferentes factores predisponentes, por lo que se precisa de un abordaje terapéutico multidisciplinar que incluya fundamentalmente la fisioterapia; centrándose el interés científico en los últimos años por las terapias de neuromodulación, que presentan resultados esperanzadores.
