Doctor by the Universidad de Navarra with the thesis LA EDUCACIÓN PARA EL DESARROLLO CONCEPTUALIZACIÓN Y ESTUDIO DE SU PRÁCTICA EN LA COMUNIDAD FORAL DE NAVARRA 2015. Supervised by Dr. Aurora Bernal Martínez de Soria.

My line of research, within the field of Social Pedagogy, focuses on how to improve socio-educational support for groups at risk of social exclusion—primarily young people—from an inclusive approach aimed at achieving social justice. I have participated in eight competitive research projects (two international, one national, and five regional). These studies have yielded significant results, including six articles (four in JCR-indexed journals, two in SJR-indexed journals, and two in CIRC-indexed journals), eight book chapters, and one edited volume. I have presented my research at seventeen international conferences, strengthening global academic exchange. My scientific and technical skills include the development of service-learning methodologies, which have successfully integrated theory and practice in diverse educational contexts. I have undertaken both predoctoral (Development Education Research Centre, Institute of Education, University College London) and postdoctoral research stays (Universidad Católica de Asunción, Paraguay; Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia; Centre for Education and Social Justice, University of York), which have expanded my experience in researching educational inclusion in different settings. These experiences also reflect my ability to collaborate and lead within global research networks. I have organized four academic seminars and one summer course that have contributed to knowledge transfer in the field of educational inclusion. Internationally, I have taken part in organizing two conferences led by the Development Education Research Centre at the University of London. I have actively mentored the careers of emerging researchers, supervising two doctoral theses as well as master’s and undergraduate dissertations in areas related to inclusive education. My participation in national and international thesis committees further demonstrates my commitment to rigorous evaluation and academic advancement. I have led teaching innovation projects aimed at fostering critical skills in students. My collaboration in master’s and undergraduate programs has helped train future educators with an inclusive and social justice-oriented perspective.
