Bachellor in Nursing (University of Navarra). Master in Oncology Nursing (University of Glasgow). PhD in Nursing (King's College London). Professor according to the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). She has been teaching since 1999, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in areas such as: procedures and simulated practices, teaching and monitoring of clinical practices, nursing care for people with body defense disorders and oncological processes, palliative care, approach to nursing science systematics, nursing practicum, nursing research, qualitative research, mixed research. She has also taught on research, clinical communication and accompaniment of people with serious illness in other disciplines, collaborating with the Faculty of Medicine, Faculties in the field of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Theology. She is co-principal investigator of ATLANTES Global Observatory of Palliative Care and principal investigator and leader of the research area on intangible values in palliative care. Author of 48 papers, 34 in international journals indexed in JCR. 30 publications are first and second quartile. 21 in Q1 (7 in first quartile; in 17 with preferred authorship) and 9 publications in Q2 (3 of them preferred authorship) and 4 publications in Q4 (3 of them preferred authorship). She has supervised five doctoral theses that have obtained the maximum qualification (3 in the last 5 years). She has supervised 5 master's theses in the last 5 years. She has been invited speaker in eight occasions in national and international congresses. She has participated in more than ten projects funded by regional, national and European competitive grants. She has participated in four European projects (1 Horizon, 1 H2020 and 2 Erasmus+), 5 projects funded by the Health Research Fund, in two of them as principal investigator. She has also participated in two projects funded by regional bodies, in one of them as principal investigator. She has also been principal investigator of two projects funded by local grants. She has contributed to numerous national and international conferences with her research. She has been vice-president of the scientific committee of the international congress of the Spanish Society of Palliative Care and member of other committees. He has belonged for more than 12 years to the research group 'Palliative Medicine or ATLANTES' in the Onco-Hematology Area of the Institute of Health Research of Navarra (IdiSNA). Since 2012 she has been a member of the Faculty of Nursing research group, “Chronic Processes and End-of-Life Care”, currently encompassed in “Innovation for Person-Centered Care”. She is also a member of the European Association for Palliative Care Nursing Education Task Force. She is a member of the editorial committee of the journal Medicina Paliativa, journal of the Spanish Society of Palliative Care and for four years has been an editorial member of Qualitative Health Research (an international reference in qualitative research), a journal with which she continues to collaborate. She has been project evaluator for the Agència de Qualitat Universitària de les Illes Balears (AQUIB). She is an external evaluator for the Portuguese Agency for Validation and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES), the equivalent of ANECA in Spain and External Examiner at University College Dublin School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Systems.
