Resumen

Este estudo procura determinar a relevância do compromisso organizacional, o bem-estar no trabalho e o equilíbrio entre trabalho e vida pessoal dos funcionários de acordo com seu grupo geracional. O objetivo é identificar os componentes do compromisso organizacional (proposto por Allen e Meyer (1991)) que são mais relevantes para o bem-estar de cada grupo de funcionários pertencentes a uma determinada coorte geracional. O estudo é baseado nos resultados de um questionário aplicado a mais de 500 trabalhadores pertencentes às três principais gerações: Baby Boomers, Geração X e Millennials. Os funcionários incluídos neste estudo trabalham em empresas comerciais, industriais e de serviços em Lima, Peru. Os resultados mostram uma estreita relação entre compromisso organizacional e bem-estar no trabalho para as três gerações: o compromisso normativo é o que tem maior influência sobre as três gerações, a lealdade que é desenvolvida pelo tratamento que a empresa dá ao trabalhador e o sentimento de pertencer.
